The MTV VMA Video Music award kicked on September 12, 2010 at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The red carpet walk was a visual feast, with stars wearing designer gowns and extravagant and eye-catching jewellery.
Emma Stone rocked the VMAs red carpet in a black Pucci mini dress. Emma chose a one of a kind Super Seven Quartz Ring by Dana Rebecca and paired it with simple Diamond Hoops by Kara Ackerman Designs.
Ashley Greene shows some leg in a white Giambattista Valli strapless minidress with a black lace overlay from the Resort 2011 collection. Her chunky bangle and dangly earrings along with windswept locks and smoky eyes, give her look added edge.
Actress and singer-songwriter Selena Gomez stepped onto the carpet in a flashy silver and wore Baccarat blue crystal earrings and a cocktail ring to MTV's Video Music Awards.
Another highlight at the event was Sofia Vergara who glittered at the VMAs in a blackened diamond platinum cuff bracelet and diamond platinum earrings, both featuring white and black stones, paired with a platinum diamond ring all totaling over 500 carats.
Taylor Swift looked like a pretty ballerina in a cream, floaty strapless dress by Dolce & Gabbana teamed with small diamond drop earrings. She went sans shoes, which further added a sense of romantic whimsy to her look.
Towards the end of the evening, a necklace worn by Lady Gaga, who swept the VMAs by winning eight awards, might have gotten much attention, too, but that's if viewers were able to get past Gaga's dress, chapeau and purse. As she scooped up her "Video of the Year" award in her third outfit of the evening, the pop star shocked in a get-up made of raw meat, which she accessorized with a blinged-out necklace, bracelets and a cocktail ring.
