British popstar Cheryl Cole was paid a staggering £250,000 for a 30-minute performance at the ongoing 63rd Cannes International Film Festival.
The 'Parachute' hitmaker who recently split from husband, footballer Ashley Cole, saw her fortune soar by 150 per cent last year and she is roping in millions with private performances.
The 26-year-old singer was the centre of attraction at a Cannes dinner and party hosted by luxury jewellery firm de Grisogono at the exclusive Hotel du Cap.
The British Beauty arrived at the event in a spectacular black tulle, strapless Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown as she readied for her performance at the swanky de Grisogono Dinner Party. She kept her hair simple in a loose up-do and added some extra sparkle with her new de Grisogono jewellery gifts- a boule diamond bracelet, and earrings, reportedly worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Guests at the bash included Paris Hilton, Lionel Richie and Naomi Campbell, who all watched her performance.
It is the latest money-spinning deal the star has secured. She earned $ 2 million for the last series of the TV talent show 'X-Factor', a figure that is expected to rise this year.
She has also signed deals worth $ 1 million each with L'Oreal and Coca-Cola Zero, and seen her debut solo album, 3 Words, go to No.1 all of which has helped take her fortune from 8 million to 15 million.
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious film festivals. The festival is held annually at Cannes, France.
